Condemned?  Saved?  From What?

What you believe in and have faith in has eternal implications.
People are searching for something credible to believe; they are searching for a meaningful existence; they are searching for fulfillment and purpose; most people will go to their grave with an unsatisfied and unsuccessful search; some people will become ambivalent, apathetic, or possibly hostile to various issues associated with such a search.  Certain people claiming intellectual honesty argue against what the Bible says is our true purpose in life; they are offended by God's word; they are spiritually blind and have stumbled over the rock, Jesus Christ; many have taken up the battle with a vengeance.  Belief in the naturalistic and materialistic worldview is an easy road that leads to destruction.  There are a few people whose search has resulted in true meaningfulness, fulfillment, and purpose; they have found purpose and meaning that starts in this life and extends into eternity, far beyond our earthly comprehension.

Most religions believe there is life after death while atheists usually believe death to be the final and total end of your existence.  Christians believe life after death is lived in heaven or hell.  The Christian view of being condemned has more implications than just spending eternity in hell; being saved has more implications than spending eternity in heaven.  Because we are part of Adam's sinful fallen race we are condemned; we are condemned and guilty before God because of our personal sin.  We are saved from sin and God's righteous judgment on our sin by God's grace, through faith, belief, and trust in what Jesus Christ did to pay the penalty for our sin.  If God is real, the Bible is true, and belief in Jesus Christ is the only way to be saved from the eternal penalty of our sin, then belief, trust, and faith in Jesus Christ is of urgent and utmost importance.  Why some people believe and others don't is a very involved and complex issue; it is debated within Christian circles, I will eventually have my understanding of this issue on this website.  There are various humanistic excuses that hinder belief in Jesus Christ, a belief in evolution is one of the most prevalent.

Concerning the origin of human life and the universe, the two main opposing views are creation and evolution.  I’m sure you already know that the Christian view of creation believes God, the intelligent designer, created the cosmos, the universe, all life, and humans in God’s image. Evolutionist believe a sequence of random events resulted in humans as we are today, requiring no intelligent designer. There are very intelligent people that believe in evolution and there are very intelligent people that believe God created all things; while intelligence is good, God requires faith and belief. No matter how much the evolutionist try to redefine science, evolution is still an unverifiable theory requiring faith to believe its claims. Christianity is a religion of faith, belief, and trust. Therefore, both Christianity and evolution require faith to believe,
evolution is more of a religion than a science. Don’t let a belief in evolution block you from believing God’s truth.

If evolution is true and God doesn’t exist then a pursuit of God and what He requires of us is futile; however, if God does exist then our belief in Him and in His Son Jesus Christ is more important than all the rest of our life in total. The Bible tells us, if you seek God you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul. Evolution is just one of the many convenient excuses not to believe in God, His Son, or the Bible. This life is just a puff of smoke compared to eternity but what we believe while living this life determines our eternal destiny. There will come a time, beyond this earthly existence, when all of us will acknowledge God and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord of all; all of us will acknowledge this regardless of what we believe now, but then it will be too late to alter our course in eternity. If you are offended or if this seems like so much mumbo jumbo, a simple click of the mouse will move you on to other things; however, my hope and prayer is that you will continue reading.

The first place to begin is with God.
