The definition of "Correlative Reasoning" can be unusual and varied.  "Correlative Reasoning" is at times used with established scientific facts to form a framework for understanding human history.  "Correlative Reasoning" is sometimes used in the study of man's development by philosophical anthropologists.  "Correlative Reasoning" is used in Classical Chinese theory of mind.  "Correlative Study" has an equally questionable and varied definition.  It is used many times to describe a study in medical technology such as DNA damage, repair, and antioxidant systems in brain regions.  Some people are skeptical and think these kinds of "Correlative Reasoning" have problems, I agree.

Take the standard definition of correlative and then take the standard definition of reasoning, put them together and that is how I am using "Correlative Reasoning".
